AI jewelry photos on Zalando: what’s allowed

Zalando does publish an AI rule. AI-generated images are allowed, but they must meet its editorial and technical standards, and it can reject any AI image that breaks believability, shows irregularities or does not represent the product accurately. For jewelry, this means no invented textures, finishes, reflections, shadows or wrong proportions, and the color must match the real piece. You may not put visible AI labels, text overlays or watermarks on the image, and you must embed invisible identifying data (metadata or an invisible watermark) in AI-generated files, a step Zalando lists as required by December 2026.

The jewelry photos that do well on Zalando start as a real photo of the piece you are selling. From there, AI photo editing does the slow work: it swaps a cluttered table for a clean white or styled background, evens out the lighting, brings back the sparkle in the stones and can show the piece worn on a model. What stays the same is the piece itself, so check that the metal color, stone count and size in the finished image match what the buyer will open.

That is how Hues works. You upload your own product photo, and every image it makes is built from that photo, ready for your Zalando listing.
