What jewelry photographers charge
Studios quote by the image, the hour or the day. Jewelry often costs more per image than other products: ZNO puts jewelry rates about 20 to 25% higher than standard product photography, and Squareshot adds $20 to $50 an image for reflective surfaces such as polished metal. These are the guides’ published ranges, read on October 24, 2026. Enter your own quote in the studio field above to compare it with Hues.
| Source | What it covers | Published price |
|---|---|---|
| Squareshot, May 2026 | Basic white-background image | $25 to $75 an image |
| Squareshot, May 2026 | Extra for reflective surfaces such as polished metal | $20 to $50 an image |
| ZNO, Jul 2025 | Jewelry, by complexity | $50 to $500 an image |
| ZNO, Jul 2025 | Bulk orders of simpler jewelry | $15 to $50 an image |
| Squareshot, May 2026 | Day rate | $1,500 to $5,000 a day |
At $25 to $75 an image, the 30 images in the ten-ring example above come to $750 to $2,250 in a studio. In Hues the same 30 images cost $29.78 to $117.89 in credit packs.

Frequently asked questions
In Hues it depends on the tool and its settings, from 10 to 180 credits an image across the image tools. That is $0.35 to $6.30 an image at the 500-credit rate of $0.035 a credit, and $0.20 to $3.60 at the 50,000-credit rate of $0.02. The smallest pack is 500 credits for $17.50. Divide the quote by the number of finished images you get, and enter that in the studio price field above. Squareshot puts day rates at $1,500 to $5,000 and says a skilled shooter might complete 50 to 100 basic shots in a day, so a $1,500 day that delivers 50 images is $30 an image. Add any rush fee before you divide: Squareshot puts rush work at a 25 to 50% premium.
Check the quote for retouching, model fees and rush delivery. ZNO's guide says advanced retouching can add $9 to $99 an image and hand models might cost $79 or more an hour. Squareshot lists revisions after the first round and advertising usage rights as common add-ons. If you ship pieces to the studio, add the cost of sending them both ways.
