AI-edited and rendered images on eBay

eBay does not ban AI images and does not require disclosure; its own app offers AI-generated backgrounds, with advice to use them for only a few photos. Under the User Agreement the seller stays fully responsible for the accuracy of listing content, including images edited or generated with AI tools.

Whatever a marketplace allows, buyers return jewelry that does not match its photos. Start from a real photo of the actual piece, keep the metal, stones and size accurate, and use editing for the background, lighting and presentation.
