Alternatives

Mokker alternatives for jewelry photos

Mokker replaces product backgrounds from a large template library and has a jewelry use-case page, but it works on scenes, not on putting a piece on a person. Jewelry sellers look for alternatives when they need on-model or try-on images, retouching, or an API today rather than one marked coming soon. The options below are Hues AI for a jewelry-only studio, Photta for jewelry on AI models, Pebblely for backgrounds with jewelry templates, and Claid for upscaling and an API. Hues AI is our own product; other figures are as each vendor publishes them.

Hues AI

Our pick

Best for Jewelers who need the piece on a person, not just a new background

Covers what Mokker does, background replacement on clean white or a styled scene, and adds what it doesn't: try-on for rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches and sets on a model or your own photo, jewelry retouching, metal color changes, CAD and sketch renders and product video. 80 free credits after email verification, no card.

2

Photta

Best for Jewelry on AI hand and body models

Adds the people Mokker leaves out: a Jewelry Studio with AI hand and body models and AI Jewelry Try-On on every paid plan. 20 free credits to start, then from $14 a month for 150 credits.

3

Pebblely

Best for A cheaper background tool with jewelry templates

Similar job to Mokker at a lower entry price: Lite is $9 a month for 30 images and Basic $19 for 200, with jewelry and necklace templates. There is no free trial.

4

Claid.ai

Best for An API available now, plus upscaling

If you need an API today, Claid has one, priced separately, alongside upscaling, background removal and AI photoshoots. Free tier of 50 credits; Essentials from $9 a month billed yearly.

What Mokker does well

Mokker swaps a product's background using 100+ templates, takes moodboard reference photos, replaces products in a scene and resizes for different placements. The Team and Organization plans list unlimited photos, and Mokker grants a full commercial license for the photos it generates.

Why jewelry sellers look for an alternative

  • It works on backgrounds and scenes; no on-model or try-on tool is listed
  • The API is described as coming soon, and so is a custom AI model
  • Export resolution is described as high quality and print-ready but not given in pixels
  • The free allowance is stated three ways: 20 photos once on the pricing card, 40 free photo credits for 7 days in the FAQ, and 40 free photos on the homepage
  • The homepage notes that Mokker is joining forces with soona

Mokker's plans, for comparison

Starter is $19.99 billed monthly or $13 a month billed annually for 500 photos a month. Team is $45 per user a month billed monthly or $29 billed annually for unlimited photos and 3 seats. Organization is $99 per user a month billed monthly or $83.25 billed annually, from 5 seats. Subscriptions auto-renew.

The verdict

For background scenes alone, Pebblely is the cheaper like-for-like alternative. If you need jewelry shown worn, Photta and Hues AI both do it, and Hues AI adds your own photo as the wearer, watches and full sets, retouching, metal color changes, CAD renders and video.

Disclosure: Hues AI is our own product. We've aimed to represent alternatives fairly; where we couldn't verify a detail we've said so.

Frequently asked questions

It depends on the job. For backgrounds only, Pebblely is the closest and cheaper. For jewelry on a person, plus retouching and video, Hues AI is built for jewelry specifically.

Mokker's own pages give different figures: the pricing card says 20 photos once, the FAQ says 40 free photo credits for 7 days, and the homepage says 40 free photos. Check the pricing page when you sign up.

Its API page describes the API as coming soon. Claid.ai and Photta both publish APIs today.
